Schegg is a DJ and producer from Munich, Germany, who is making waves internationally within the electronic music scene. His latest project ‘My Home EP’ is now out!
The EP combines Schegg’s house, disco and funk roots and will appeal to underground audiences across Europe.
Schegg has been inspired by his hometown of Munich in this EP, and says this projects is about love, dreams, nostalgia and living your life as you want. His motto is “express yourself and be yourself”.
Speaking on being a producer in this day and age Schegg says the most challenging this is the sheer number of DJs and Producers that are competing is very high and always growing. He says: “The internet is overwhelmed with new sounds and it’s hard to keep an overview and stay focused sometimes in all the noise”.
Initially starting his musical journey playing flute and piano as a child, Schegg has gone on to experiment with many different genres and styles. He has dipped into house, disco, funk, electro and techno and now describes his sound as a fusion of underground and retro. His vintage-sounding beats are often combined with tribal rhythms and deep vocals creating a cocktail of all of his favourite sounds.
Schegg is a self-proclaimed “dreamer” and since 2012, he has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft and unique style of music. Based in the city Germany he is regularly playing shows in some of the most renowned clubs in the country.
He says: “the best thing about making music is forgetting everything around you, being in another world and expressing yourself”.
‘My Home’ EP is a catchy and uplifting selection of tracks which disco and house vibes throughout.
Schegg says it’s a “happy sound that lets you dance and dream”.
